Daily Meal Subscription & Mess Management System

The product acts as a virtual link between consumers and mess service providers (MSPs) to pre-book quality daily meals at affordable student prices. Additionally, it provides asset management to all the MSPs subscribed to them. The company works with MSPs to elevate the quality of food provided to consumers.


The company wanted to enhance its business model to rope in more partners and expand to different cities. With this, they also wanted to enhance the user experience and interface of their current application and add features as per the new business model.

Project Goals

  • Improve Usability: Enhance the overall usability of a product or website to make it more user-friendly and intuitive.

  • Increase User Satisfaction: Ensure that users have a positive and satisfying experience when interacting with the product or service.

  • Improve Information Architecture: Enhance the organization and structure of content and information to make it easier for users to find what they need.

  • Enhance Visual Design: Improve the visual aesthetics and branding of the product to create a more appealing and memorable user experience.

  • Align with Business Goals: Ensure that the UX improvements align with the broader business objectives, such as increasing revenue, reducing support costs, or expanding the user base.




My Role

Led end-to-end product design, research, design language, validation and handoff.

There were 3 personas we had as target.

  3. Deepak - Mess partner





Solution

A completely new experience design was proposed to the client. I redefined the search, navigation, and booking workflows. The new product was aligned to the redefined business goals with enhanced usability and interaction patterns in the application.


As a part of the solution, I have arranged a brainstorming session to discover and validate the company's proposed solutions which have been enhanced and more aligned to their business goals now.


This project was a perfect example of design thinking involvement right from the inception of the idea till it was implemented. The project is currently in development and soon we’ll be launching a customer satisfaction survey seeking feedback on our new and improved application.



Ideation

Ideation is a critical phase in the User Experience (UX) design process where we generate a wide range of ideas and concepts to solve problems and create innovative solutions through collaboration.


I had run a small workshop with the business stakeholders to understand and validated their business solution through design thinking approach. This process helped us to understand the shortfalls of the plan and enhance it to achieve their business goals.

Taskflows

Task flows are a crucial aspect of UX design because they help us to understand and improve the step-by-step processes that users follow to achieve their goals within a product or system. Task flows provide a structured way to map out and analyse how users interact with a digital interface, such as a website, app, or software application.


Here, it helped me to get a deeper understanding of how a user navigate through a system to accomplish specific tasks. This step helped to identify and resolve the bottlenecks and errors in the whole interaction with this application.
